Bihar Election Result 2025: The 2025 Bihar Assembly election results are now published. Everyone was shocked by the Bihar election results. The NDA, led by Nitish Kumar, won by a wide margin. With 202 seats, the NDA secured a resounding majority, while the Grand Alliance was forced to settle for just 34 seats. But in terms of vote share, Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD emerged victorious. Lalu Yadav’s RJD became a ‘crorepati’ in terms of votes share, while the BJP and JD(U) lacked a few steps behind.

‘Crorepati’ Party of Bihar

In fact, according to Election Commission data, RJD became “crorepati” on its own, but BJP and JD(U) were able to become “crorepati” together in terms of vote share. The RJD received 1.11 crore votes, or 23% of all votes cast in the state. The BJP obtained 99 lakh votes (20.08 percent), whereas JD(U) received about 93 lakh votes (19.25 percent). In terms of votes received, RJD became the only “crorepati” party, while JDU and BJP remained “crorepati” together. These figures show that winning seats and winning the people’s vote are two different things in Bihar politics.

10% Increase in NDA Vote Share

The RJD, which received the most votes, remained the third largest party in terms of seats. At the same time, when it comes to the overall vote share of the NDA vs the Grand Alliance, the NDA enjoys an advantage. The Grand Alliance content with only 34 seats out of 243. The NDA won 202 seats, giving it a large majority. In terms of vote share, the Grand Alliance received 37.2% of the votes last time, while the NDA received more than 10% of the votes this time, up from 37.3% the previous time. The NDA received 47.7 percent of the votes this time.

The BJP-led NDA gained 202 seats in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, followed by the Grand Alliance with 35, the AIMIM with five, and others with 1. In Bihar, voting took place in two stages. November 6 and November 11 were the dates of the first and second voting phases, respectively. On November 14, the Bihar election results were announced. The results made it evident that Nitish and Modi were a huge hit in Bihar.
