Group of youth assault restaurant staff twice in a day, CCTV footage goes viral News24 –


A shocking incident of assault has been reported from the Beta-2 police station area in Greater Noida, where a group of youths in a car allegedly misbehaved with and attacked employees of a restaurant. The incident has created fear among the staff, who claim that similar attacks have happened earlier as well.

Complaint Filed by Restaurant Staff

According to the written complaint filed by restaurant employee Sangeet Kumar, the incident took place at their restaurant located in Alpha-2. He stated that on Tuesday afternoon, some youths arrived at the restaurant and began abusing and misbehaving with the staff. They also allegedly assaulted the relationship manager and a female employee present at the time.

Sangeet Kumar said that the group returned an hour later and again attacked the staff. He mentioned that the entire incident has been captured in the restaurant’s CCTV cameras and that the footage has been handed over to the police.

Previous Incident on 26 October

The complainant further claimed that the same group of youths had assaulted the restaurant staff on 26 October as well. He alleged that the accused frequently come to the outlet, misbehave with the employees, and even get into physical fights, creating a sense of fear among the workers.

Videos of the Assault Go Viral

Two videos of the incident have gone viral on social media.
In the first video, recorded around 2 pm, four to five youths can be seen arguing with a restaurant employee and abusing him. Shortly after the argument, one of the youths slaps the employee.

In another video recorded around 3 pm, the same youths are seen sitting on chairs outside the restaurant. Suddenly, one of them gets up and walks towards an employee cleaning the counter. He then slaps him, assaults him, and even hits him using a chair.

Police Action Underway

The Beta-2 police said that on Wednesday, the medical examination of the victim was conducted. A case has been registered at the police station based on the complaint. Officials added that further action is being taken and investigations are ongoing. Police have assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in the repeated assaults.
