Smriti Mandhana deletes all her wedding posts after father and fiance get hospitalised News24 –

Indian women’s team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has reportedly put her wedding with music composer Palaash Muchhal on hold. The couple were schedule to get married on November 23 in an intimate ceremony but the celebrations came to an abrupt pause after back-to-back medical emergencies strikes during the festivities.

Smriti’s father, Shriniwas Mandhana was immediately rushed to Sarvhit Hospital and Medial Research Centre after he showed signs of heart attack. On November 24, Smriti’s husband-to-be Palash Muchhal was also admitted in hospital in Sangli due to sudden health complications. It has been reported that while Palaash is recovering well, Smriti’s father continues to be monitored closely.

But amid all these developments, Smriti has removed all her wedding related posts from Instagram including her proposal video and the announcement of her engagement. The main proposal video is still available on Palash’s Instagram. In the video, Palash is proposing to Smriti at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai – a venue where India won the Women’s ODI World Cup.

Smriti’s manager confirmed to NDTV that her father was taken to the hospital after he felt uneasy after breakfast. The wedding remains postponed and a new date is still not decided.

“Today in the morning when he was having breakfast, Smriti Mandana’s father, Mr. Srinivas Mandhana, got unwell. We waited for a while. We thought that maybe it’s normal, he will be fine. But he was getting worse. So we thought, let’s not take any risk, so we called an ambulance and took him to the hospital. Now he is under observation.”

“You know Smriti is very close to her father. She decided that until her father gets well, this marriage, which was supposed to happen today, is indefinitely postponed. Now he is under observation, and the doctor has said that he will have to stay in the hospital. And until he gets well, because we are also in shock, and we want him to recover soon.”
