Smriti Mandhana’s father discharged from hospital, wedding with Palash Muchhal remains postponed

A huge sigh of relief has finally come for the Mandhana family after Smriti Mandhana’s father, Srinivas, who had been admitted to a hospital following a heart attack, was discharged. He was admitted on Sunday when the star cricketer, along with her fiancé, Palash Muchhal, was supposed to get married, forcing them to postpone their wedding celebrations.

According to an India TV report, officials at the hospital said Srinivas is stable now and out of danger. A team of doctors also conducted an angiography, through which no blockages were found, thus giving further relief to the family. While Srinivas recovered well enough to be discharged from the hospital, the Mandhanas did not declare a fresh date for the wedding.

Smriti’s father, Shriniwas Mandhana was immediately rushed to Sarvhit Hospital and Medial Research Centre after he showed signs of heart attack. On November 24, Smriti’s husband-to-be Palash Muchhal was also admitted in hospital in Sangli due to sudden health complications. It has been reported that while Palaash is recovering well, Smriti’s father continues to be monitored closely. The couple were schedule to get married on November 23 in an intimate ceremony but the celebrations came to an abrupt pause after back-to-back medical emergencies struck during the festivities.

On the other hand there were reports which indicated that Palash was taken to hospital in Sangli, Maharashtra due to viral infection and severe acidity. But now NDTV sources report that Palash has been moved to SVR Hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai for further treatment. Palash’s schedule has been absolutely packed and involved frequent travel for concerts and wedding related work this left him physically drained ultimately taking a toll on his health.
