In a recent episode of The Coach & Bro podcast, the company’s former head writer, Vince Russo, asserted that Jericho does not have to return to the Stamford promotion.

The current demand for physicality, which the 55-year-old does not have to go head-to-head with the young wrestlers, was one of the factors he mentioned. He also suggested that if Chris Jericho came back, it would be in a non-wrestling role.
