The Miz is a star who has many achievements and a two-time title holder in WWE. Nonetheless, he seems to be worrying about the possibility of the sports entertainment giant kicking him out. “Yeah, honestly, every time there’s a release, I’m like, ‘Oh no, is it me?’” The Miz said. “This is going to sound very cocky and arrogant. I know how valuable I am. I know how good I am, and whether the audience sees it or not, I know people know. If you’ve wrestled me, you know. So yes, there’s always in the back of your mind, ‘oh, is it me? Is it me? Is it me?’ But then there’s also that other part that goes, ‘I’ve done a lot in this business, and I still got more.’”

Diverging paths see The Miz and Carmelo Hayes take centre stage in separate pursuits

In 2025, although The Miz and Carmelo Hayes were partners, Hayes chose to leave the tag team scene. The former NXT got the US title at the end of 2025. At the same time, the A-Lister was pursuing John Cena as he took part in The Last Time Is Now Tournament hoping to get a shot at Cena one last time. Sadly, he did not succeed as he lost in two rounds. Finally, on the night of Big Match John’s retirement, Miz and R-Truth, two of Cena’s main opponents in WWE, were doing a segment together.

Unlike any other, Miz has the special trait among the WWE roster that makes him the only person who can perform the opening match, mid-card, or even main event and will manage to do it right. Having become one of the most decorated stars in the company, The A-Lister at this point in his career probably should not be concerned about being released.
