A previous WWE performer was spotted recently in an AEW match opposite Angelico. Andrade, who was with the WWE till September last year, reportedly got the pink slip from the promotion because of the multiple breaches of the wellness policy, but the particulars of the case are still hazy. Subsequently, he turned up in AEW, but that entailed disputes regarding the violation of his WWE non-compete agreement. The whole ordeal was eventually sorted out in court, and the agreement was lifted in December.

Andrade, after a long period of uncertainty, surfaced WWF and stood by the United Empire in NJPW. On the 7th of January, he was back in AEW once again and joined the Don Callis family, which resulted in him attacking Jack Perry and his allies. The confrontation between the team of JetSpeed (composed of Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey), The Young Bucks, and Jungle Jack Perry and the rest of the DC family had just been ended when there was a blackout. When the lights came up, Andrade was in the ring, wearing his signature mask. His return was also announced by Tony Khan over social media, who further promoted the former WWE star.
“He’s back, and he’s All Elite! Welcome back to @AEW, @AndradeElIdolo! #AEWDynamite,” Khan wrote.
