Bron Breakker faced CM Punk in a title match on the first Monday Night RAW of the year but failed to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from him. After losing the match Bron Breakker attacked Penta and Dragon Lee during their battle against the Vision which resulted in the match being stopped and Adam Pearce entering the ring.
RAW Drama Escalates as Pearce Sidelines Bron Breakker
Breakker put his hands on Pearce and looked to attack the RAW General Manager, which led to Pearce suspending Bron Breakker indefinitely from the red brand. Pearce received a phone call from a person last week through Paul Heyman who used his connections to persuade Pearce into returning Breakker to the show so that both men could resolve their issues through direct conversation.
Royal Rumble spot secures Breakke’s return to RAW
Pearce claimed that things got a little out of hands between them and also apologised that he put his hands on Breakker first. The official suspension of Bron was lifted by him because he accepted to participate in the Royal Rumble match which would take place later that week.

On WWE Monday Night Raw’s edition of January 12th, Bron Breakker faced an indefinite suspension imposed by Raw GM Adam Pearce. According to Pearce, Breakker went unchecked after he spoiled a tag team match. Pearce confronted Breakker and the latter even touched Pearce. In a backstage clip, Bron Breakker was depicted strolling through a corridor. Now his suspension is over and he will be featuring in the Royal Rumble.
