New Maruti Suzuki Dzire is equipped with exceptional safety features, which are generating buzz in the Indian automotive market. Global NCAP awarded the car a flawless 5-star rating for adult safety and an impressive 4-star rating for child safety. The new Dzire sets a benchmark, earning the company’s first-ever 5-star Global NCAP rating. The new Dzire boasts an extensive array of standard safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and pedestrian protection, according to Global NCAP. On the other hand, Tata is known for its exceptional build quality and safety features. Notably, Tata Motors created history as its Punch and Nexon became India’s first vehicles to receive 5-star Bharat-NCAP certification.

The launch of the new Dzire has sparked speculation among Indian buyers that Maruti may surpass Tata in safety standards. Let’s have a look at what we know till now.

New Dzire: The car received a 5-star rating for adult safety, and a 4-star rating for child safety by the Global NCAP. The total score of the car for adult and child safety is 70.44/83 points.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR: The car received a 1-star rating for adult safety, and a 0-star rating for child safety by the Global NCAP.

Alto K10: This Maruti car received a 2-star rating for adult safety, and a 0-star rating for child safety by the Global NCAP.

Maruti Suzuki Swift: The car received a 1-star rating each for adult and child safety by the Global NCAP.

Tata Cars

Tata Safari or Harrier: These both cars received a 5-star rating for each adult safety, and child safety by the Global NCAP. The total score of these cars for adult and child safety is 78.05/83 points.

Nexon: The car received 5-star rating for each adult safety, and child safety by the Global NCAP. The total score of the car for adult and child safety is 76.74/83 points.

Tata Punch: The car received a 5-star rating for adult safety. However, child safety rating for the car is 4-star.

Tata Altroz: The car received a 5-star rating for adult safety, and the child safety rating for the car is 3-star.

While it’s premature to declare Maruti superior to Tata in safety, the new Dzire’s rating marks a promising start for Maruti Suzuki’s safety focus.
