Suzuki Jimny 6X6 Version! Specs, Features And New Changes Listed- Possibility Of Launch?   News24 –

When the Jimny was introduced in India it had gone through a significant change considering that a 5-door version was launched . Since then there have been several customizations that make the humble Jimny appear more similar to the Mercedes G-Wagon. In a recent update that has been doing rounds over the internet a Proud Jimny owner has upgraded his Jimny to appear more like the 6×6 G-Wagon. The creation belongs to Mocho Fabrication in the Cotswolds. The car has undergone some extensive changes and has been given another axle that has been taken from another donor Jimny.

As per the changes the chassis was stretched, the additional rear fenders for the stretched body style was done with the support of original Jimny parts that were sourced from other models. The car has also been given a rear deck that must have required a fair bit of metal working wizardry to make the over all extension of the body line much more seamless.

To make the vehicle more significantly aggressive and menacing it has been given chunky all terrain tires along with black alloy wheels. The car has also been given a black and grey quilted leather seats .

The challenge for Jimny.

Unlike the G63which has a v8 the jimny is powered by a rafter puny 1.5 litre 4 cylinder engine with 102 BHP and 130 Nm of torque. The variant that has been customized is a automatic variant. As per the details no performance upgrade have been done to the engine.

Rear Axle Fake or Real?

While the enthusiast in us would have wanted the rear set of extended axle to be operational, it’s just for novelty. Good News for the small 1.5 4 cylinder 102 Bhp producing engine that Powers the Jimny. As per the listing that the custom house has uploaded on eBAY the car is up for sale for a significant sum of money of Rs 50 Lakh.    Since this is a custom job there are no chances of Suzuki building a 6×6 Jimny. Such a vehicle would not be feasible for Suzuki or even the interested buyers.
