The trailer of the much-awaited 2025 F1 movie just dropped yesterday, and on the surface, the movie seemingly has all the elements that F1 fans were waiting for. Directed by the ace Joseph Kosinski who has greats similar to Top Gun Maverick in his filmography the film is all set to be a possible blockbuster over the celluloid. The cast does not fall short of profound acting talent as well, with the communion of Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Simone Ashley, Kerry Condon as well as the Damson Idris would surely leave the fans asking for more. Motoring enthusiasts all over the world keenly await the arrival of the movie to their nearest screens.
There had been questions about the realistic appeal of the film, critics had questioned whether the cinematography would be able to do justice to a sport that is significantly fast paced and unravels within seconds. But as per the first glimpse of the movie the cinematography seems to be on point. Kosinski has been an ace in his domain, even in one of his last movies the Top Gun Maverick the director was able to recreate the ordeals of a fighter pilot in a cockpit with relative ease. Here are a few reasons why every F1 fan and motoring enthusiast should watch the movie.
Realism
Often shooting with cars that can go over 300km/h can be a bit tricky for the director. Producers and Directors opt for stock vehicles with a fixed jig upon the hood of the car to capture the actor’s reaction on a stationary vehicle and the action sequences of actual driving are done by stunt actors. How seamlessly a director is able to use a mix of both leads to the overall quality of the film.
Even in Ford Vs Ferrari, we saw mock-up’s of Ford GT 40’s used to take reactions from Christian Bale Who played the role of Ken Miles. Or a new kind of Jig is used where the driver controls are externally handled by a driver who sits on a external contraption on the roof and the actor gives his reactions to the cameras. But as per the first looks, the new movie seems to have been done keeping the perspective of the fans in mind, every shot seems perfectly immersive and entails the details and nuances of the motoring world. Realism would probably not be an issue with the movie as eminent personalities like Brad Pitt as well as Ace F1 racer Lewis Hamilton himself are producing the movie.
Cast
Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Simone Ashley are all eminent personalities. Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt need no recognition when it’s comes to their acting prowess. And beyond that, the film has been shot in real scenarios which further adds to its appeal. In the last F1 season the actors were seen tagging along the F1 stars to shoot their inputs for the movie.
F1 Realities
F1 is unlike any other sport in the world, the fast cars and drivers ready to defy the odds, driving within inches of endangering their lives are only a few of the aspects that the sport is renowned for. Often recreating such scenarios on screen is pretty tough but, Kosinski seems to have pulled off the ordeal profoundly. The movie could be a rejoice for the viewers after the cult Ford Vs Ferrari Movie. Often older race car drivers lose out on opportunities to drive with the top teams and a similar story has been showcased in the movie as well. A few social media comments upon the trailer have already found similarities within the movie story to be similar to the careers of Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso.
