Tata To Hike Passenger Vehicle Prices From Next Month- New Details Revealed! News24 –

Tata motors has recently announced their incapability to bear the brunt of rising component pricing in the overall production, After Suzuki the brand has acknowledged the turbulent situation of the industry and announced that they would be raising the prices of the passenger vehicles including electric vehicles From April. This would be the second time when the company has been planning a price hike. The Manufacturer has also revealed that it would be raising the prices of the commercial vehicles they produce by 2% from next month.

The New development has been established to partially offset the impact that the manufacturers have been facing due to the rising prices of the import components. The company has not yet revealed how much the prices would rise variant wise rather they have elucidated that the extent of the price hike would depend upon the model and the variant.

Prices Of The Vehicles

Before the recent hike the company had also raised the prices of their passenger vehicles by 3% in January. The range of vehicles in Tata’s clan includes electric vehicles as well as passenger vehicles that have been priced all the way from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25.02 lakh.

There were suspicions that the manufacturer would raise the prices since Maruti Suzuki had already announced that it would raise the prices by 4% as from the next month. Car Manufacturers world over have been caught in a whirlwind of either going along with EV manufacturing or choosing to facelift their existing ICE models.

Beyond that the Indian manufacturers have been hit with strict safety changes such as necessity of 6 airbags for all car models under sale. This has already raised the prices of the cars, and beyond that the new changes would further change the prices as well. It would be fair to say that its possible other manufacturers might soon follow up to raise the prices as well.
