Royal Enfield has added another bike to their already expansive line up which is the Classic 650. The New bike is based on the same chassis into which Royal Enfield has shoehorned their premier classic 650 parallel twin into the classic’s 650’schassis with new subtle design changes that further enhance the appeal of the bike. The bike is the successor to the classic 500.
The new 650cc bike could be the go-to choice for many who seek a highway tourer. Since it offers added capabilities of a more powerful engine and tubeless tires specifically meant for helping riders on long tours. Royal Enfield has divided the variants into Hot Rod , Classic and Chrome. The bike would be positioned above the Interceptor 650 and the continental Gt 650 and below the cruiser range, which consists of Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650.
New Bike Details
The classic has a seat height of 800mm. Beyond that the weight of the bike is around 243 Kg. While the weight would make negligible difference when the bike is in motion, but when moving the bike around on foot. The users would be able to get a feel of the heft of the bike. The bike would continue to use a semi-digital display.
The 648 cc parallel twin air-cooled engine has good lower-end grunt and torque and has been optimized for touring rather than intercity commutes.
