Tata Curvv Dark Edition Launched! Check Out Specs, Engine And Features News24 –


It was Tata themselves that started the tradition of dark editions. The dark edition was previously offered with cars such as Harrier, Safari, Nexon and Punch along with electric vehicle versions of the two. Now the company’s line up has further expanded to include the Tata CURVV Dark Edition. Tata has launched the CURVV Dark Edition at a starting price of RS 16.49 Lakh. 

Tata has been rather quick to launch the new Curvv Dark Edition after the competitor Citroen Basalt, received its own dark edition earlier this week. Customers would be able to choose a Curvv Dark edition in the Accomplished S and Accomplished +A variants. 

Tata Curvv Dark Edition -Exterior And Interior Changes

Most of the changes the Dark Edition are cosmetic changes, featuring an all black colour scheme, a blacked out front grille, a tinted windscreen and smoked effect on the headlamps and tail lamp. Other notable design elements would include visual highlights such as LED light strip connecting the headlamps running along the breadth of the vehicle. The Black color scheme would accentuate the coupe style look of the vehicle making out the go to choice for many who seek a stylish SUV. 

Interior Changes 

While the basic layout of the vehicle remains unchanged- the leatherette upholstery that would cover the seats would now be completely black with new trims.  Beyond that the tech features would include features would include a a 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment, and a 10.25 inch driver display. The car would be equipped with a 9 speaker system as well. Beyond that the users would be able to experience the joys of panoramic Sunroof, power adjustable driver seats and reclining seats as well. The equipment list would further include an air purifier, automatic climate control and wireless phone charger aswell. 

Additionally the car would be equipped features like six air bags as standard, a 360 degree safety camera and a TPMS along with electronic parking brakes. Beyond that the ADAS level 2 safety protocols would further add to the overall safety of the vehicle. 

Engine Specs of the Vehicle

The Tata CURVV dark edition would be available in both ICE vehicles and EV vehicles. The ICE variant would be Powered by a 1.2 liter turbocharged Petrol Motor and a 1.5 liter diesel motor. The Petrol variant would have a 123 Bhp power output and a peak torque figure of 225 Nm. While the Diesel variant would have a power output of around 116 BHP and a peak torque figure of 260Nm. Both the vehicles would be available in manual gear boxes as well as a 7Speed DCT transmission. 

The CURVV EV dark edition would be on offer with a 45Kwh as well as a 55 KWH battery pack. The range of both the battery packs would range from 505 Km to 585 Km respectively on a single charge. The EV variant would have a dark edition in the Empowered + trim.
