India Made Honda Elevate To Be Possibly Exported To Brazil After Japan- New Details Revealed News24 –


Honda seems to have extensive plans for the Elevate/WR-V made apparent by the facts that the SUV is already been on sale in Japan as the WRV. And as per a recent report the car was also seen testing in Brazil for a imminent launch. A report by Motor 1.com revealed that the car was seen being tested while under heavy camouflage before a possible launch.

Even white under a camouflage the quintessential lines of the car gave it away. The car is as of yet, manufactured in India and seemingly exported to foreign countries. As per the recent leaks it has become apparent that a similar pursuit might be followed for the launch in Brazil as well. The Elevate is known as the WR-V in the Japanese market and hence its possible that the car might be named WR-V for the Brazilian market as well. 

Since the car that was seen under camouflage, the interior details as well as the features could not be witnessed. But its possible that the car that are exported to Brazil would be equipped with similar specs and features as the Indian Spec Elevate.  

Before being seen in Brazil while being tested the Elevate /WR-V has also been crash testing in Japan, here are the full details about the crash test.

Safety Score 

The car was tested against several safety standards that the board has pre-determined to analyse the safety of the vehicle. The occupant protection received 57.73 points, the pedestrian safety stood at 28.28 points. In the full frontal collision test the car was able to score a splendid 96% protection score for the driver and 88% for the rear seat passengers. In The offset collision test the vehicle was able to provide its rear passengers with 89.6% driver protection while the rear passengers received a 100% rating. The vehicle also scored maximum points in the side impact test. Beyond these tests, the car was also tested for pedestrian safety and scored a 2.91 out of 4 for head protection and a full 4 out of 4 for leg protection. 

Design And Features 

Launched in 2023, the Honda Elevate competes against the likes of Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos and Toyota Hyryder. The car delivers an eclectic mix of features and performance. The feature list of the car includes an electric Sunroof, six airbags, A 10.25 inch touchscreen  and Honda’s ADAS suite known as Honda Sensing- this would include features like lane-keeping assist and collision mitigation braking. 

The car is powered by a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering a 119 BHP and a 145 NM of peak Torque. Available In both CVT and manual gearboxes. The car is manufactured at Honda’s manufacturing facility in Tapukara Rajasthan- The Elevate has been able to spearhead Honda’s export plans outside India. The car is yet to undergo Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP safety tests in India.
