Suzuki’s Next Launch To Be A Compact EV-SUV? Plans To Compete With Curvv And Creta Electric Revealed! News24 –
The Proverbial shift to EV vehicles has led one of the largest car manufacturers in India to focus on expanding its EV line up. The brand as of yet has been planning to launch Two New EV’s. One of them would be the E-Vitara which the brand had already showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January and the other a alleged 5 seater EV SUV. The E-Vitara would be one of the first vehicles that the first EV vehicle that the brand would sell in India.
In a recent news update it was also revealed that the SUV has started reaching the showrooms nationwide. Suzuki had elucidated that the E-Vitara would be launched in September 2025. The E-Vitara would go against the likes of cars such as the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV.
Second EV SUV
Beyond the E -Vitara, Suzuki has also been planning to launch an all new EV which would be a 5 seater Mid Size SUV. Suzuki has not revealed any details themselves, but the car has been seen being testing under heavy camouflage a few times. Since the brand has not confirmed any details these are mere speculations further backed by sightings of the test mules. The EV could directly be posed to compete against the Likes of Nexon EV and other smaller EV’s. An affordable entry into the EV dynamic would help the brand gain a prominence against its competitors.
KIA Carens EV?
Suzuki would not be the only manufacturer who has been planning to launch a slew of new EV based vehicles. KIA, is also planning to launch a EV version of the carens. The facelift Carens has been spotted testing a few times. Beyond the design change the car would be equipped with a EV powertrain instead of a conventional powertrain. While KIA has not revealed much, its certain that the new Carens EV would be using the Hyundai Creta EV powertrain with a claimed range of around 400 Km.
Witnessing the rising demand for EV’s MG Has also planned to give their Windsor EV a long range version which would have a 5.6 KWH battery for going longer distances. The Car would go on sale next month. The claimed range would be around 460 km. Apart from the new battery the car would also get new ADAS features as well.
