Seatbelts are an inherent part of the onboard safety protocols that help the vehicle keep its passengers safe during a crash. Even the Safety ratings are only applicable if the passengers are using a seatbelt. Hence its imperative that users use seatbelts while driving the vehicle. Hence such issues can possibly deter the vehicles from protecting the occupants in the event of a crash. Volkswagen as well as Skoda would soon endeavor to approach all users whose vehicles have been affected and help them get the issue rectified.
