In the past few months TVS seems to have been in the pursuit of launching an all new adventure tourer meant for the Indian enthusiasts. TVS has been rather elusive about the launch of the bike as they even showcased it at the Bharat Mobility Expo for a short while only. Since than the bike has been spotted testing a few times and is soon expected to be launched. Once launched the bike would directly compete against the likes of KTM Adventure 390. Here’s how the bike would fare against the KTM off-roader.
TVS RTX 300 ADV
This would be the first offering from TVS that would venture into the adventure world. The ADV 300 would be the brand’s only product in the whole segment. TVS has seemingly gone for the Adventure Tourer design format instead of a hardcore off roader similar to that of the Himalayan raid and other bikes that are yet to be launched in India as well.
The Bike as per its patent images looks large and ready to take the riders off road. The front facia of the bike seems high set with led lights that seem similar to that of the Triumph Tiger older models. There had been reports about how TVS was probably reluctant about the launch of the new bike as they took it off the showcase at the expo, but with the patent images it has become apparent that the bike would be launched soon in the Indian market. A recent spy shot has revealed that the bike would have a semi fared body with a muscular tank that extends till the seat of the bike. Beyond the other changes the bike also gets a luggage rack along with LED tail lights and LED indicators.
Some of the other changes that stood out included the revised handlebar that were visibly high mounted. Beyond that the suspension duties of the bike would be handled by USD forks upfront and rear monoshock. TVS has been benchmarking the bike against all formidable competitors and even while testing the bike was seen along with Suzuki V storm, Sx 25and Yezdi Adventure.
Performance And Engine Specs
The Adventure Bike would be powered by a 299cc liquid cooled RTCd4 engine that produces about 35 BHP at a peak RPM of 9,000 rpm. Beyond that the new bike would have a peak torque of around 28.5 NM at 7,000 Rpm. The New Adventure Apache would be paired to a six-speed gearbox. The bike would have multiple riding modes and traction control system. The Presence of switchable ABS that would allow it to be readily ridden over the off road terrain’s.
The bike looks quite menacing and aggressive as a adventure of roader. The Bike would have a semi fairing with a tall windscreen, a muscular tank as well as a tail section with the presence of split seats.

The Adventure 390 has been the unprecedented king of the segment for a long period. Although its one of the most expensive bikes in the segment it has become the go to choice for many. Would the new RTX adventure be able to de throne the KTM? As per the Rumours it has become apparent that the new bike would be a little underpowered than the KTM, beyond that the bikes prowess would become much more clear once the bike launches in the market. Being cheaper than that of the KTM’s Adventure bikes the new RTX could be the possible new choice for the many new riders.
