YouTuber Puts KTM’s 640 CC LC4 Engine In His Himalayan! Results Would Leave You Shocked! News24 –

The internet is replete with innovative custom bike creations that would leave you stunned . But in a recent case we discovered a unique attempt by a Royal Enfield fan to shoehorn a way bigger engine than the original one in the chassis left us astounded. Man Cave Customs, a YouTuber has taken up the mission of equipping his Older Royal Enfield Himalayan with a KTM 640cc LC4 engine that would triple the power output of the bike.

Although a complex task the Youtuber said he took it up to help his bike get a few additional ponies and get faster. Rather than a quick custom Job, the Youtuber seeks to comprehensively upgrade the old Himalayan as he has changed the swing arm as well as the front suspension with that of the LC4 the took the engine from.

Challenges With The Engine Swap

While changing the power mill of the bike the biggest issue that the enthusiast faced was that of that the drive was on a different side of the engine than that of the original Himalayan. Hence the youtuber had to use the swingarm from the donor KTM. Beyond that since the KTM Engine is liquid cooled so he would have to figure out a way to install a radiator as well as an oil cooler. The Youtuber has not been able to complete his goal, but it seems that he is hard at work to ensure that the engine swap can be achieved.

The Youtuber further revealed that the comments on his videos have been raising cautions about how the frames of older Himalayan’s were frail and would often snap when under tension, he said that he would take that into due consideration. Royal Enfield itself has been planning to upgrade to a bigger engine but the fan has been able to do so before the brand’s official debut with a new 750cc platform.

While the internet has been replete with custom projects no similar project has yet been fully completed.
