Royal Enfield Scram 440 Recalled! Sales And Booking Ceased Until Issues Are Rectified News24 –

As per a recent update, the Scram 440 the descendent of the Scram 411’s sales have been paused that is due to a faulty component.  A recurrent issue that was reported by several riders and enthusiasts who bought the bike was erratic behavior from the engine, where it would not start after it had been running for a while. This was specifically relevant in traffic stops, where the engine would fail to restart after coming to halt. 

As per Royal Enfield, the issue was with the Woodruff key within the magneto. Further investigation into the issue revealed that it was not a widespread problem; rather it only plagued about 2% of the bikes that were sold in a limited time frame. 

Royal Enfield Working On The Issue

Since the issue can leave the riders in the lurch, Royal Enfield has taken proactive steps to ensure that the issue can be solved as quickly as possible and the sales and the booking of the vehicle can begin all over again. Royal Enfield has confirmed that replacement parts are being sent off to dealers, and beyond that the brand has also started reaching out to owners who has been affected individually. Owners are being asked to book an appointment at the dealerships to receive the relevant update at the service center. 

Royal Enfield has confirmed that they would be able to soon find a resolute solution for the engine pro demand would be able to solve all the issues that the engine might be going through. The Scram 440 is powered by a 440cc Ls engine that offers the users with strong low end torque. The starting price of the Scram 440 is around Rs 2.08 lakh this makes the bike much more accessible than the Himalayan 450 Which starts at Rs 2.85 lakh Rs. 

Such issues are pretty common on extensive manufacturing procedures and Royal Enfield would be able to rectify the issue and resume the sales of the Scram 440 .
