The highly anticipated Golf GTI is all set to break cover soon. As per a latest update, the Volkswagen Golf GTI would be unveiled on May 26th. The booking process for the Golf GTI has already been initiated and it was previously reported that the first batch was fully booked. The intention of Volkswagen to bring the car as a halo model that would aid in the sales of other vehicles in the line up seems to be working positively.

The Golf GTI fascia sports a Honeycomb grille, with some red accents and GTI badges. The Bumper gets the iconic five- piece LED light units and the logo in the center would also get an illumination function as well.

No compromise here: the users  would get a slew of tech features such as a 12.9 inch touchscreen infotainment system, and chat GPT enabled voice assistance system. Beyond that the car would also get  tartan-patterned sport seats that are meant give the car an aggressive appeal, similar to the exterior the vehicle would also get GTI badges in case you forget that you are in a special one-off CBU import and a well specced European interior.

Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance 

The Volkswagen GTI is powered by 2 litre, four cylinder Turbo petrol engine that is able to churn put out upto 265 PS and a peak torque to 370 Nm . the engine has been paired with a 7 speed DSG gearbox which is able to deliver enough power output to take the vehicle directly from 0 to a100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The enthusiasts would further be joyous upon learning that the car would be equipped with a progressive steering and an electronically controlled front axle differential lock. 

Golf GTI Expected Pricing 

The Golf GtI is expected to priced at  Rs 50 Lakh (ex-showroom). The car would be an alternative to Mini Cooper S and the upcoming Skoda Octavia Rs. Since the first batch has already been booked, we would have to wait to witness whether there would be a second batch or not?
