Kia Carens Clavis Vs XL6, XUV700, Safari, Innova Crysta: Price And Specs Compared


Kia has launched the Carens Clavis in India with a starting price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia is offering the Clavis in seven variants, eight colour options and three engine choices. Bookings opened on May 9, and deliveries will commence from next week. While retaining the MPV silhouette from the Carens family, the Clavis comes with a new face, fresh alloy wheel design, and the signature connected tail lamps. The blue and beige upholstery, along with dual digital screens, complement the interior, which has largely been retained. The Kia Clavis is available in six-seat and seven-seat layouts. New features include an electric parking brake, ADAS features, powered driver’s seat, 360-degree camera, and drive modes.

Kia Carens Clavis

Kia is offering the Carens Clavis with three engine options- a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, churning out a max power of 157 hp and 253 Nm of torque. A 1.5-liter NA petrol engine delivers a max power of 113 hp and a peak torque of 143.8 Nm. The third unit is a 1.5-liter diesel, producing 113 hp and 250 Nm.

Maruti Suzuki XL6

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 comes equipped with a choice of a 1.5-liter K Series hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5-liter CNG unit. The 1.5-liter petrol hybrid engine belts out 101 bhp and 136.8 Nm, while the CNG unit churns out 86.63 bhp and 121.5 Nm.

Tata Safari

Powering the Tata Safari is a 2.0-liter turbo charged diesel engine, which delivers a max power of 170 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm.

Mahindra XUV700

The Mahindra XUV700 gets two engine options – a 2.0 L mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2-l mHawk turbo diesel engine. The petrol powermill churns out max power of 197 hp and a peak torque of 380 Nm, while the diesel unit produces 182 hp and 420 Nm.

Toyota Innova Crysta

A 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine powers the Toyota Innova Crysta. The engine delivers max power of 150 hp and a peak torque of 343 Nm.
