KTM E-Duke Revealed! 100 Km Range On A Single Charge, To Be Produced By Bajaj? News24 –

KTM seems to be ready to include an all new all electric Duke variant to their line up soon. As per a recent revelation the E Duke has been seen in a concept avatar. As per a report by Autocar, years back a concept of the E- Duke was showcased at an investor presentation By Pierer. But this time around the model that has been witnessed seemed complete and in the final stages of production.

The Prototype was revealed by ROK Bagoros who as per Autocar has a close relationship with KTM. A video taken by ROK Bagoros has been doing rounds over the internet, the video was taken in company headquarters in Mattighofen, Austria.

KTM E-Duke Battery, Range And Other Features

While no official documentation of the bike is available it has been detailed that the bike would most probably have 10KW of electric motor along with a 5.5 kWh battery pack. Such a powertrain would help the bike achieve an engaging drive. While no data has been shared about the possible range of the bike it’s possible that it might be able to reach at least a 100 KM range.

It’s possible that the bike might be based on the same chassis as that of the Duke and with the increased weight due to the battery the bike would probably weigh over the current Duke 390. Since the bike has a trellis frame, aluminium swing arm and an offset rear shocker it would be able to handle the usual riding tasks with ease.

While we have not seen the bike, a slew of high res images floating over the internet have revealed how KTM has designed the bike to ensure performance gains. KTM has positioned the battery down low to ensure a low centre of gravity and the space where the fuel tank is supposed to be has been used for an air passage to keep the battery at optimum temperature.

KTM Duke 200 New Design

The E-Duke seems to be no slouch as far as looks are concerned, the bike has been given a futuristic appeal with fuel tank extensions, a new headlamp design that takes styling cues from 990 Duke and 1390 Super Duke.  As a concept the bike showcases many parts and concepts that might not make it to production but truly showcase the brands farsightedness.

The reports further revealed that if the bike ever goes into production it would be produced by Bajaj in India. Recently out of the gloomy deep waters of financial troubles a diversified product line might help the brand gain its older glory back.
