The Indian Auto Market is about to be set ablaze with high competition amongst upcoming EVs. If you have been planning to go for an EV SUV a little bit of wait can lead you to choose amongst a better pool of cars. We have chosen EV’s to be in our list based on their features, range, and performance figures.
Tata Harrier EV
The Harrier EV is slated to be launched on June 3, 2025, The upcoming Electric SUV has been spotted testing a few times before the upcoming launch. While the Harrier might seem quite similar to the ICE Harrier on the surface its quite different from beneath, since It would offer a slew of updates over the Harrier. The First update would be an EV AWD powertrain, a first in the segment and beyond that the car would possibly have a independent suspension at the rear end. As of yet the Tata Curvv EV has the biggest battery, it’s possible that the Harrier EV might be equipped with the same battery as well. Or Tata could upgrade the vehicle to run on a 75 KWH battery that would be able to offer around 500 Km of range.
Tata Sierra EV
Tata Sierra has been spotted testing a few times and its expected to make its official debut by the festive season. The Sierra brand was originally introduced in India by Tata in 1995. While Tata has been planning to launch a petrol powered version currently it is possible that after its launch a EV version of the sierra would follow soon as well. Tata has reinvented the new Tata Sierra with the new safety norms; manufacturing a vehicle with an extensive glass space could have been a formidable challenge for the manufacturer. But Tata has managed it brilliantly. The car has been given thick A and B pillars and a floating roofline, along with a redesigned front fascia. The glass area has been increased without any compromise to the structural integrity of the vehicle.
Mahindra XEV 7E
The Mahindra Xuv 700 has been one of the most popular SUVs in India and over time the brand has been able to move ahead with the vehicle. Now that Mahindra has a in-house EV architecture that can be shoehorned into different chassis it’s only inevitable that a EV version of the XUV 700 would follow soon. The car would go through a major design overhaul and a change that would help it gain a more futuristic appeal. The Car would be similar in appeal to the Be6 as well as XEV 9e
Suzuki E-Vitara
Although the car has been launched the deliveries would begin soon. The car would mark the entry of Suzuki into the EV segment. The car would be making its official debut around the festive season. The E Vitara would be based on the Heartect -R platform and its expected that it would be equipped with two battery packs between which the users would have a choice. The Expected range of the vehicle would be around 500KM. The car has been given a muscular stance with a novel front fascia that accentuates its SUV stance. The feature list consists of a 10.2 inch infotainment screen and a 10 inch driver display that continues from the driver end all the way to the middle of the dashboard. The vehicle further has ventilated seats and a 360 degree camera with ADAS technology.
