KIA has been able to gain a spot in the limelight thanks to the recent launch of the all new KIA Carens Clavis. Beyond the launch of the Caren Clavis, the brand seems to be planning to continue its trend-setting launches as it has seemingly planned the launch of the all new KIA Seltos facelift as well. This time around the car has been spotted by Shorts Car. In the captured leak, the car was seen under heavy camouflage but the front fascia of the car was visible. As per the inputs, that were shared by spotters the car would seemingly be a more luxurious model than the existing Seltos, as apparently a few of its new styling accents have been taken from the high end Telluride.
Exterior Change Highlights
The car showcased design cues similar that of the EV9 and the Syros. New Seltos has the quintessential SUV appeal and the overall footprint of the vehicle seems slightly longer than the existing model. New styling additions include a concave grill between the headlights, the horizontal slats in front of the bumper are similar to the ones we have seen before the fog light housing are new. The rear section would get new design elements too, going by the tradition to adorn all cars with a continuous bar light, it is only evident that the KIA Seltos would get a similar arrangement as well.
The car would supposedly go through a interior redesign as well and the dash as well as the interior would all have styling accents taken directly from other KIA cars higher up in the range.
KIA Seltos Engine And Powertrain Options
KIA would keep similar engine options on offer for the second generation facelift model as well. The range of options would include a 115Hp 1.5 liter naturally aspirated Petrol, the 160Hp , 1.5 Turbo Petrol as well as the 116 producing 1.5 litre Diesel engine. Beyond these, KIA India would possibly include a new HYBRID powertrain as well. It’s possible that the 1.5 Litre NA petrol engine would be electrified and it would power the upcoming 3-Row SUV Too. The car would compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and Tata Curvv.
