Suzuki V-Storm 800 De VS Honda Transalp: Here’s How The V-Storm Sizes Up Against The Mighty Transalp!


Honda seems to be on a roll with one launch after the other. The brand recently launched the new Rebel 500 and now it seems to be moving forward with new bikes in different segments. The 2025 XL750 seems to be the next launch. Honda has retuned the engine and would offer a  tweaked suspension, new color scheme and updated fascia. Beyond that, the bike has also been equipped with a TFT console and other new features as well.

Updated Powertrain 

The Transalp would still powered by a 755CC , 90Ps and 75 NM of peak Torque Output. With the re-tuned Engine the bike would be able to provide better low range and midrange performance. The performance of the bike has been changed due to the air intake changes that the bike has been equipped with now. Honda claims that they have changed the handling and the comfort of the bike by changing the damping settings. With such changes, the Transalp is now 2Kg heavier and has a kerb weight of 210Kg.

Suzuki has launched its all new 800 De in India recently, the prices of the 800 de is the same as that of the 2024 version. The bike carries similar equipment and features as its previous iteration and would be able to provide its users a similar touring experience.  Suzuki has added three new striking colors including Pear Tech White, Champion Yellow No 2  and Glass, Sparkle,  Black, the Pearl tech white color gets Blue shade spoked rims and champion yellow No2 black body panels and blue rims.

The Bike would be powered by a 776cc Parallel-Twin Liquid cooled DOHC 4V/CYL engine that is capable of generating 83BHP of peak power and 78 nm of peak torque – mated to an electronic throttle and a bidirectional quick shifter and a 6 speed gearbox, Low RPM Assist feature and a Suzuki Easy Start system. Here is an Comprehensive Comparison between the bikes.
