Often flocked for manufacturing cars that are lighter Suzuki has received consistent critique in the past for being unsafe, Maruti Suzuki seems to have paid heed to the furor. As the latest Maruti SUZUKI Swift has been able to pass the Bharat NCAP crash test with flying colors. The Model tested was the All New Maruti Dzire Gasoline -LXI 1.2L ISS 5MT- that had front airbags as well as side curtain airbags and side chest airbags, belt pretensioners and belt laid limiter and ISOFIX. The safety assist technologies that aided in safety further included pedestrian protection and seat belt reminder.
New Dzire Bharat NCAP – Adult Occupant Protection
In The Adult occupant safety protection tests , the new Maruti Suzuki received a 5 star rating- the overall score that the vehicle was able to gain was around 29.46 out of 32 points. In the Frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Desire was able to get a score of 14.17 out of 16 points. Beyond that , in the side moveable deformable Barrier Test, the points that the car was able to gain were around 15.29 out of 16.00.
The results of the frontal crash test revealed that the protection to the driver’s test was marginal , protection to all other parts of the driver were good and adequate. Similar tests were noted during the side barrier test and Side pole impact tests.
Dzire Child Protection crash test
In the Child protection crash test the overall score that the car was able to score was 41.57 out of a total of 49 points. The dynamic score was 23.57 out of 24 points. While 12 out of 12 points were given for CRS installation.
