While Royal Enfield has showcased the bike being tested in the harsh climate of the mountains, they have refrained from putting forth any information regarding the new Himalayan E. But this older report by MCN reveals that Royal Enfield has plans to cover the bike with Flax fibre Composite bodywork. Beyond that, the bike was supposed to be equipped with a bespoke swingarm courtesy of Harris performance. The highlight of the report was Matt Cardenas iterating to MCN how Royal Enfield would soon plan more models across the different platforms.

Royal Enfield had at that time designated the Himalayan E chassis as a test bed as per the report, they further mentioned that when the technology is ready and the prices are right the users would be able to seamlessly transition to a new mode of mobility. Royal Enfield seeks to expand its grasp in the EV segment as it had made a 50 million Euro investment in Spanish Plug – in off road firm Stark Future Sl. Royal Enfield took this investment initiative much before the recent unveiling of the Royal Enfield Himalayan E.

When the bike was showcased at EICMA, it was revealed that the Himalayan E actually started off as a capability exercise, Royal Enfield has also developed an all new wind tunnel test mill to squeeze even more range out of its EV powertrain.
