It was in October five months after its launch that the exports for the Suzuki Jimny were initiated. The regions that the vehicle was being exported to included Latin America, Middle East and received a strong market response from Mexico Australia and South Africa. Suzuki has continued producing the Three door version of the jimny for export purposes from 2020. The Production is handled by Suzuki from its Gurgaon plant in Haryana.
While the Jimny brand has not been able to perform well in India, it has witnessed soaring demands in Japan as the Nomade. The Jimny was the second SUV to be exported to Japan after the Suzuki Fronx. Days after the booking commenced Suzuki received 50,000 pre -orders and hence had to halt the booking.

A batch of Suzuki Jimny’s have been commissioned ITBP as well to the Indo- Tibetan Border Police, would be using the new Suzuki Jimny in extreme conditions along the borders of Arunachal Pradesh, Leh Ladakh. They would perform all the necessary duties of the UITBP forces and aid them in every which way possible.

The jimny is powered by a 1.5 litre engine that produces 105 BHP and a peak torque of 134Nm while these might seem like dainty figures but coupled with the light body of the Jimny these can easily tackle any situation that might befall in front of the vehicle.
