As per a action plan against the increasing pollution, fuel stations in Gurugram, Faridabad and Sonipat would cease to supply Fuel to end of the line vehicles from November 1, 2025.
New Automatic Number Plate Recognition Systems
Haryana Government has issued an official statement detailing that fuel stations in Gurugram, Faridabad and Sonipat would no longer be able to supply Petrol or Diesel to vehicles From November this year. Similar restrictions would then extend to UP from April 1 From Next Year. To further ensure that the rules are established and followed by motorists, the government has been planning to install all new Automatic, Number Plate Recognition cameras. These cameras would serve a direct traffic surveillance feed to Command and Control centers for issuing challans, impounding old vehicles and scrapping.
One of the other major changes that the Haryana government has proposed would include CNG and Electric Three Wheeler auto rickshaws to be inducted to the existing fleets going forward. Effective from November 1 only BS6 compliant light, medium and heavy good carriers would be allowed entry into Delhi. All other non conforming goods vehicles would be barre from entry into the city after October 31, 2026.
Inputs from PTI have further revealed that around 382 BS6 buses would be added to the felt by the end of October, this would aid better connectivity between Haryana and Delhi. No New Diesel Vehicles Or Petrol two wheelers, Four Wheeler LCV would be allowed to the commercial fleet. From November 1 all busses entering Delhi must operate in EV,CNG and BS6 from November 1.
