The Husqvarna Svartpilen is the rather aggressive cousin to the Duke 390 that is often the choice of enthusiasts who seek relentless performance and track prowess. Although the bike is based on the same chassis and powertrain as that of the 390 Duke it has a neo retro design language.
But even after being such a capable bike, it has a major caveat that stole away its charm. Since the vehicle lacked tubeless tires it could not be the go-to machine for riders who sought to ride the vehicle for touring purposes. But such a demerit would be resolved as well, as Bajaj has sought to provide the bike with tubeless tires for seamless mobility.
A new homologation document has revealed that Bajaj has asked for compliance verification for the testing of alloy wheels. The presence of Alloy wheels clearly indicates the presence of Tubeless tires. Its Obvious that the Husqvarna would now be made available with tubeless tires.
The Current gen model has spoke wheels with tubed tires. While these tires seem aesthetically pleasing; these take away from the bikes practicality. The new update would fix the caveat with the bike and help it compete closely with its cousin. The launch is expected next month. The current gen Svartpilen costs Rs 2,97,112 ex-showroom, its possible that the new variant with alloy wheels would be Rs 15k to 20K more expensive.
