Upcoming Launches Before The Year Ends! News24 –

Kia and Hyundai are gearing up to expand their EV and ICE vehicle lineups in India, with several launches planned over the coming months. Hyundai is expected to introduce the next-generation model of its popular compact SUV, the Venue. In addition, the brand is preparing to launch a new crossover, the Bayon, sometime next year. Here’s a look at the key models Hyundai and Kia have lined up for this year.

Kia Carens Clavis EV

The Carens Clavis EV is scheduled to launch on July 15. Kia has already unveiled the model in the Indian market. Although earlier leaks suggested that the EV would share its powertrain with the Hyundai Creta EV, the Clavis EV is being advertised with a range of 490 km, about 30 km more than the Creta EV’s claimed range on a single charge. This indicates that the Carens Clavis EV might be equipped with a new powertrain.

The design of the MPV will be similar to that of the ICE Carens Clavis, but it will feature EV-specific exterior updates, including a closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, a new front fascia, and LED fog lamps. The car is expected to be offered with two battery pack options, and the electric motor may be shared with other EV models.

New Gen- Hyundai Venue

Hyundai is all set to launch the second-generation Venue in India. The is expected to go on sale during the upcoming festive season. The new model will feature an all-new exterior design, and leaked images suggest that the front fascia takes inspiration from the latest Hyundai Creta. The interior will receive major upgrades, including Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, and more. Under the hood, the car is expected to retain its current engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol, and 1.5-litre CRDI diesel.

KIA Syros EV

Kia has confirmed the launch of the Syros EV for the Indian market, and it’s expected to debut by the end of this year. The all-new Syros EV will feature revised bumpers, aero-efficient wheels, and EV-specific branding both inside and out. Kia has not yet disclosed details about the battery pack or the expected range. The Syros will compete against the likes of Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 400EX EV.

New Gen Kia Seltos

Kia Seltos Spyshot

Kia is planning to launch an upgrade for the new-generation Seltos, which is set to make its global debut by the end of the year. The new-gen model will feature comprehensive updates both inside and out. The car has been spotted testing in Korea, and it appears that the facelift version will be launched with a hybrid powertrain, along with the familiar petrol and diesel engine options. The updated model is expected to use the existing 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with a strong hybrid setup.
