Kia Carens Clavis EV launched! New Features, Range And Specs Revealed News24 –
Kia has launched the all-new Carens Clavis in India at a starting price of Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand had been gearing up for the launch of the electrified iteration of the MPV. During the live event, the company also took the cover off its EV charging ecosystem to address the range anxiety that users generally experience after buying EVs.
To ensure that users have ample sources for seamless charging, Kia has introduced a network of over 11,000 charging points with leading charge point operators (CPOs) across the nation. These stations will span across highways, daily commute routes, and long-distance corridors.
The Kia Carens Clavis features a 51.4 kWh battery pack, capable of delivering a range of 490 km. Users will be able to opt for a 42 kWh battery, similar to that of the Creta EV. To ensure a faster charging rate Kia is offering a 7.4 kW and an 11 kW charger. Kia has enhanced the design of the new vehicle to reduce the air drag coefficient. For this purpose, the underside of the car has been covered, and an all-new front fascia with a closed-off grille has been designed.
The smaller battery pack offers 135hp electric motor, and the larger battery pack gets a 171 hp. Both of these would be front axle-mounted motors and have a torque rating of 255Nm- the figures are the same as those of the Creta Electric. The new EV would also have four 4-levels of regenerative braking via paddle shifters and a steering column mounted drive selector.
Interior Updates
Kia has sought to enhance the interior with connected tech features, enhanced comfort, and convenience. The brand has further equipped the cabin with 90 connected features. Some of the notable changes are

Prices of the Kia Carens Clavis
The Carens Clavis EV’s prices start off at Rs 17,99,000 for the HTK+ and Rs 20,49,000 for the HTX variant with standard range. If you plan to opt for an extended range variant, HTX is priced at Rs 22,49,000 and the HTX+ is available for Rs 24,49,000. Bookings for the vehicle will commence from July 22.
