Here’s How The New Renault Kiger Measures Up Against Tata And Hyundai Competitors- Full Comparison News24 –
After raising anticipation with a two-week-long teaser campaign, Renault India has finally launched the Kiger facelift, with prices starting at ₹6.29 lakh and going up to ₹11.29 lakh, just like the outgoing Renault Kiger. The outgoing model was on sale in four trim levels — RXE, RXL, RXT(O), and RXZ. The mid-cycle refresh for the compact SUV is also available in four trims, now called the Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.
The ₹6.29 lakh starting price of the new Renault Kiger is just ₹14,000 more than the outgoing compact SUV’s ₹6.15 lakh tag. The previous top-spec Kiger RXZ CVT variant was priced at ₹11.23 lakh, while the new Emotion CVT variant costs only ₹6,000 more. For the introductory period, the mid-spec Techno CVT and the top-spec Turbo manual are priced at ₹9.99 lakh.
Powertrain Variants
In its new guise, the Kiger will still offer the same four powertrain options: a 72 hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT, and a 100 hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit with CVT and 5-speed manual gearbox options. Renault will soon reveal prices for the Kiger NA AMT variants.
Renault Kiger Interior and Exterior Changes
On the outside, the Kiger gets a redesigned front bumper with a silver surround, the new Renault logo on the hood, a fresh paint scheme, updated graphics on the C-pillar, a smoked reverse-light section, and new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin remains largely similar to the outgoing model. However, all variants of the Kiger will now come equipped with six airbags as standard, along with ESP, a tyre-pressure monitor, and hill-start assist. The top-spec trim also adds ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlights and wipers, a wireless charger, and an 8-inch infotainment screen.
