Indian cultures value extended families and hence some of the most selling cars have always been MPVs and people carriers. If you have an extended family and you seek an MPV that can help you travel with your family with ease, we have rounded up a list of some of the most affordable MPVs that you can consider for your use. The cars in the list will provide you with an eclectic mix of comfort and style.
Renault Triber
The Triber has long been the go-to choice for many who seek three-row seating at an affordable price point. The car offers a harmonious blend of practicality and ease of use unlike any other vehicle in its range. The middle row can split 60:40 and can be easily slid back and forth to provide better access and comfort for third-row occupants. Additionally, the car offers users the flexibility of removing the third-row seats to create more luggage space. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces 72 hp.
Price range: Rs 6.1 lakh to Rs 8.47 lakh.
Suzuki Ertiga
The Suzuki Ertiga has become a household name in the MPV category. It offers users a smooth and comfortable ride while travelling with family. The car comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 103 hp, which is powerful enough to cruise on highways with a full load of 6–7 passengers. The only drawback is that the middle-row seats fold but do not tumble, making third-row access a bit difficult. The Suzuki XL6, though more premium, is only available in a 6-seater configuration.
Price range: Rs 8.84 lakh to Rs 13.13 lakh.

Mahindra Bolero Neo
The Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that delivers 100 hp. It’s a better-equipped version of the standard Bolero, offering a more comfortable and modern interior compared to the Spartan design of its predecessor. The middle row can comfortably seat three passengers, offering generous legroom and headroom. However, the third-row seats are quite cramped and are better suited for children or luggage rather than adult passengers.
Price range: Rs 9.95 lakh to Rs 12.16 lakh.
KIA Carens Clavis
The Kia Carens is available with a range of engine options, including:
- 115 hp – 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol
- 160 hp – 1.5-litre turbo petrol
- 116 hp – 1.5-litre diesel
It’s one of the most well-rounded MPVs in the market, offering both comfort and practicality. Kia has addressed many of the issues that commonly plague MPVs. The middle row seats offer a 60:40 split, and they can fold and tumble for better third-row access.
Currently, the Carens is available in a single variant at Rs 11,40,900, while buyers can also opt for the Carens Clavis, priced between Rs 11,49,900 and Rs 19,39,900.

Citroen AirCorss
The C3 Aircross comes with two engine options:
- 82 hp – 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol
- 110 hp – 1.2-litre turbo petrol
The middle-row seats feature plush upholstery for enhanced comfort. However, the third row is cramped and better suited for children or luggage. These seats can also be removed for more boot space. While the middle row offers a 60:40 split, it misses out on a recline function and a center armrest, which could be a drawback for long-distance travel.
Price range: Rs 12.46 lakh to Rs 14.35 lakh.
