Alert! Indian Share Market To Remain Closed On THIS December Date – Full Holiday List Inside News24 –


Share Market: As the year draws to a close, the Indian stock market has one remaining holiday left for 2024. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on December 25, 2024, due to the Christmas. On December 25, trading will remain suspended across all market segments, encompassing Equity, Equity Derivatives, and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB).

Share Market Holidays In 2024

In November, the Indian stock markets remained closed on three occasions: Diwali (November 1), Guru Nanak Jayanti (November 15), and Maharashtra Assembly Elections (November 20). The Indian stock market has only one remaining holiday for the year 2024, which falls on December 25, to commemorate Christmas.

It’s worth noting that the Indian stock market will observe a total of 16 holidays in 2024, resulting in trading being closed on those days. Given below is the list of stock market holidays in 2024.

Meanwhile, the Indian stock market benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, settled down in green on Friday, November 29, 2024. The Sensex surged 759.05 points to settle at 79,802.79 on Friday. Nifty50 index also rose 216.95 points to settle at 24,131.10 points.
