Samsung Electronics Co-CEO Han Jong-Hee Dies Of Heart Attack News24 –

Samsung Electronics’ co-CEO, Han Jong-Hee, died due to cardiac arrest. He was 63. The news was confirmed by the company’s spokesperson on Tuesday. 

Han Jong-Hee was born in 1962. He took the company’s charge as vice chairman and co-CEO in 2022. In the same year, he supervised Samsung’s consumer electronics and mobile devices businesses.

Han’s death comes at a challenging time for Samsung as the company has to vie with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) in the semiconductor industry to keep itself ahead in chip production and its clientele. 

The co-CEO had warned the company last week of a challenging time ahead in 2025 due to uncertainty in major markets. He had also pitched for “meaningful” mergers and acquisitions to attain growth in the current fiscal. 

He attended Inha University and earned his engineering degree. Later, he joined the company in 1988.  Han also played an important role in the company’s display business. Samsung mentioned him in a biography stating that Han also led the TV business successfully to acme.
