Gautam Adani, Adani Group Chairman, has become India’s biggest wealth gainer in absolute terms, with an impressive increase of nearly Rs 1 lakh crore in his net worth, said the ‘Hurun Global Rich List 2025’.
According to the list, Adani’s total wealth rose 13%. His total stands at Rs 8.4 lakh crore, making him the second-richest person in India on the global list.
Meanwhile, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani has slipped out of the top 10 in the world’s richest list. However, he holds the top spot in Asia. According to the Hurun list, India ranks third in the number of billionaires. Moreover, Tesla-SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has retained his top spot in Hurun Global Rich List 2025.
India has 284 billionaires, which is 13 more than the last year. According to Hurun Rich List, the world currently has 3,442 billionaires, which is a new world record. The current number of billionaires is 163 more than the last year. “For the first time in 10 years, the number of the US billionaires overtakes China, 870, up 70, compared with China’s 823, up 9,” said the Hurun report.
Others Besides Gautam Adani In The List
Mukesh Ambani is the chairman of Reliance Industries. He is the richest Indian and richest Asian, with a net worth of Rs 8.6 lakh crore.
Roshni Nadar is the new entrant in the list, after her father, Shiv Nadar, transferred a 47% stake in HCL Technologies to her. She is the third-richest Indian, with a wealth of Rs 3.5 lakh crore.
Dilip Shanghvi of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries is 4th richest Indian. Shanghvi‘s net worth is Rs 2.5 lakh crore.
Azim Premji is the chairman and largest shareholder of Wipro. Premji has the fortune of Rs 2.2 lakh crore and is the 5th richest Indian in the list.
