Noida: Good news for those traveling from Noida and Delhi to Faridabad. A journey that would otherwise take over an hour will now be completed in just 20 minutes, as preparations are underway to open the road linking Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. According to reports, the new link road is slated to open for vehicles from November 12 while providing relief to commuters and easing the congestion on Mathura Road.

The road which costs around Rs 5,500 crore to develop will start from DND and pass through Yamuna Khadar, Okhla Vihar, Batla House, and Shaheen Bagh alongside the Yamuna River before reaching Faridabad via the Agra Canal near Kalindi Kunj.

South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri confirmed that the road will be opened from near Madanpur village linking the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on November 12.

Reduced Traffic, Faster Travel

The expressway, which is six-lane wide, would significantly reduce traffic on Matura Road, thus ensuring smoother traffic flow. People traveling between Sarita Vihar to Badarpur Border on Mathura Road and other parts of Delhi will no longer face traffic jams.

Once functional, traveling time will be reduced along the new route – from Delhi to Faridabad will take just 10 minutes, and from Noida, traveling time will be reduced to 20 minutes. The road will also provide access to Palwal, Sohna, KGP, and KMP expressways. People can easily reach the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway too.
