Delhi Metro Alert! Cable Theft On Blue Line Causes Delays – When Will It Be Resolved? News24 –

New Delhi: Delhi Metro services on the Blue Line faced disruptions on Thursday morning after a cable theft took place between Moti Nagar and Kirti Nagar stations. Passengers are expected to face delays in services today and are advised to plan their journeys accordingly. In a post on X, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, “The inconvenience is regretted.”

When Will It Be Resolved?

In another update post, DMRC clarified that the issue on the Blue Line will only be resolved after the end of operational hours in the night.

The Rail Corporation said, “Since the trains will operate at restricted speed on the affected section during the day, there would be some delay in services. Passengers are requested to plan their journeys accordingly as the journey shall take some additional time.”

DMRC Issues Service Update

In a recent separate post, DMRC said that the train services on Blue Line ‘Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida Electronic City /Vaishali‘ have been regulated since morning as a result of damage caused to signaling cables caused by some thieves or miscreants.

“As a result, trains are running at restricted speed in this section resulting in bunching of trains. However, normal train services are available on the rest of the section of Blue Line. To avoid inconvenience to the public during the day time, the necessary repair will be undertaken during night hours after the closing of the revenue Service,” DMRC informed.

What Is Blue Line?
