Inter-Caste Marriage Tensions Suspected Behind Killing Of Bank Employee, Family Blames Wife And In-Laws News24 –


Noida, UP: In a shocking incident in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a 29-year-old bank employee was reportedly gunned down in broad daylight last Friday morning. The deceased’s family allegedly held his wife and in-laws responsible for the murder. The victim, who was working in Ghaziabad as a bank data manager was attacked by two unknown men on a bike while he was heading to office in Greater Noida.

Incident Recorded On Dashcam

According to reports, the victim was shot dead around 8.30 am and the incident was recorded on the car’s dashcam. Meanwhile, the deceased’s family has accused his wife and relatives of his death, due to conflicts surrounding his inter-caste marriage. Reports stated that he got married a year ago against his family’s will and was reportedly threatened by his in-laws for belonging to a ‘lower caste’.

Sister Claims ‘Harassed Multiple Times By In-Laws’

The locals rushed the victim to the hospital and alerted the police. However, he was declared dead upon arrival. He had earlier filed a complaint with the police regarding threats from his in-laws, reports added. His sister claimed that he was harassed multiple times by his in-laws. Following the complaint, Police detained his wife and brother-in-law for interrogation. An investigation into the matter is underway and the police is analyzing the dashcam footage to find out the exact cause of the murder.
