Two new interchanges will be constructed to connect the Yamuna Expressway to the upcoming New Film City in Uttar Pradesh. These interchanges will be constructed on both sides of the expressway. Both the stretches will be approximately 480 meters long and 11 meters wide and will cost six crore rupees. The project aims to ensure seamless commute to the upcoming Film City near Noida International Airport in Jewar. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has started the tender process for the same. The construction work will begin after the agency is selected.
More About The Project
The route will provide easy commute to vehicles transporting heavy goods and machinery to Film City. Private vehicles and allottees of sector 18 and 20 along the Expressway will also be benefitted from the construction of these two interchanges. Both interchanges will be built in Bhaipur village and will provide direct connectivity to the Film City.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), YEIDA Arun Vir Singh said, “Once Film City gets operational, there will be heavy traffic on these interchanges causing huge inconvenience. Separate entry and exit points are required to cater this need. This will also benefit those commuting to the airport.”
Uttar Pradesh is gearing up for its second film city, which will be developed in Sector 21 on Yamuna Expressway, 4 km from Noida International Airport. The development of ‘International Film City’ has been approved by the Uttar Pradesh Government. At present, preparations are underway for the first phase of the project on 230 acres.
