Rising Temperatures, Misty Mornings, Strong Winds To Sweep The City; Light Rain Predicted On March 14 News24 –
Delhi Weather Update: As we step into the second week of March, the weather across the country undergoes significant changes. The temperature in Delhi/NCR has risen sharply over the past few days, reaching between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius. Delhiites woke up to clear weather on Saturday, with westerly winds traveling up to a speed less than 20 Kmph. There has been a rise in maximum temperatures up to 3°C and minimum temperatures up to 1°C during the past 24 hours.
The maximum temperature was recorded between 29 and 32°C, and the minimum temperatures were 12 to 13°C, respectively. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts partly cloudy skies on 9th and 10th March, with mist during the morning hours. The temperatures may reach a scorching 31 to 33°C in these two days. Thereafter, on the 11th of March, the Met Body predicts partly cloudy skies again, with mist in the morning.
IMD Predicts Light Rain On March 14
Amid the warm conditions, strong surface winds traveling at a speed of 20-30 kmph are likely to prevail over the Indo Gangetic Plains, including Delhi, on 11th & 12th March. Light rain/drizzle is expected in the national capital on the 14th of March, the IMD said.

AQI In Delhi
An Air Quality Index of 176 under the ‘moderate category’ was recorded at 6 am on Sunday, March 9, 2025, compared to a slightly lower AQI of 175 yesterday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). However, as the air quality trends continue to be in the moderate and poor range, the CAQM on Friday invoked actions under Stage I of GRAP in Delhi-NCR.
