IMD Forecasts Strong Winds On March 12, Light Rain To Follow This Week; Check Forecast News24 –


Delhi Weather Update: There has been a significant rise in maximum temperatures in Delhi, soaring over 30 degrees Celsius. Days have turned warmer as the weather is undergoing transition. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted strong surface winds to prevail over national capital on Wednesday, March 12. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 34 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively.

The sky will remain partly cloudy on Wednesday with strong surface winds (speed 20-30 kmph) prevailing during day time. No specific warning has been issued by the Met Department.

Delhi Weather Update: Forecast For This Week

While the temperature is rising, Delhi’s weather will witness some changes this week. The IMD has predicted light rain to lash capital from 13 to 15 March. Sky will remain generally cloudy on these days. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius on 13 and 14 March.  Mist will engulf parts of Delhi on 16 and 17 March.

According to IMD, there has been no large change in minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures over Delhi-NCR during the past 24 hours.

It further stated that the maximum and minimum temperatures are currently in the range of 31 to 33°C and 15 to 17°C respectively. The minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-3°C and maximum temperatures were above normal by 2-4°C over most places over Delhi.

AQI In Delhi

The air quality in the national capital has dropped back to ‘poor’ category. AQI was recorded at 251 on Wednesday at 6 am, according to the CPCB. Stage-I of GRAP measures are currently in effect in Delhi-NCR to tackle air pollution.
