Noida Elevated Road: The Noida Authority has laid out plans to build a new elevated road in Noida. This is a piece of good news for the residents as the new road will drastically reduce traffic congestion. The elevated road will start from the Rajnigandha underpass in Sector 3 and will end in the Sector 57 intersection. The 5.5-km-long road aims to benefit lakhs of commuters in Delhi and neighbouring cities, thus providing significant relief from heavy traffic jams. Once functional, the road will slash travel time by almost half, which previously took around 30 to 40 minutes.

The new elevated road will link sectors 3, 12, 22, 56, and 57, making travel faster, smoother, and hassle-free. Additionally, the stretch will offer a major boost to industrial and residential areas in Noida. Commuters traveling to and from Ghaziabad, Khoda, Indirapuram, and Delhi will especially avail the benefits. The estimated cost of building the new elevated road from Rajnigandha underpass in Sector 3 to Section 57 intersection is around Rs 600 to 700 crore.

When Will The Road Be Completed?

This four-lane elevated road will reportedly be constructed on a single pillar to save space and effectively manage traffic on the road beneath. The project is expected to kick off this year. The authorities aim to complete the Noida elevated road in the next 3 to 4 years. Notably, the foundation stone for the newly elevated road was laid back in 2015-16 by Akhilesh Yadav when the Samajhwadi Party (SP) was in power.
