IMD Predicts Strong Winds And Rising Temperatures Over Capital; Check Forecast For This Week News24 –
Delhi Weather Update: The weather in Delhi has witnessed significant changes over the past 2-3 days. Rainfall lashed the capital on 14 March, improving the AQI to ‘satisfactory’ levels by Sunday. This week, Delhi will face impact of Western disturbance which is going to affect western Himalayan region from 19th March. The maximum temperature is expected to soar up to 37 degrees Celsius. Strong surface winds will prevail over the national capital for next two days.
Forecast For Today, 17 March
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted strong surface winds (speed 20-30 kmph) to prevail over Delhi during the day on Monday, 17th March. Sky will remain mainly clear. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 32 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively. No other specific warning has been issued by the IMD.
According to IMD’s observation, the maximum and minimum temperatures are currently in the range of 30 to 33°C and 15 to 18°C respectively. It noted that there has been slight fall in minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures over Delhi-NCR during the past 24 hours.
Delhi Weather Update: Forecast For This Week
The maximum temperature is expected to remain 37 degrees Celsius on 20th March. It will remain 35 degrees Celsius on 21 and 22 March. Delhi will experience strong surface winds during day on 18th March. Partly cloudy sky has been predicted on 19th and 20th March. The data indicates that warmer days are ahead for Delhi, with temperatures expected to rise significantly this week. For more update refer the below mentioned table.

Delhi AQI
Delhi’s air quality has witnessed satisfactory improvement. The AQI was recorded 95 on Monday at 6 am, according to the CPCB. This falls into moderate and satisfactory category.
