The construction of a foot overbridge (FOB) at Narsingpur will disrupt traffic on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on March 26 and 27. As a result, commuters will face delays; therefore, plan accordingly before leaving home. To avoid inconvenience, traffic police advise commuters to follow the issued diversions. GMDA plans to carry out the work on these days from 12 noon to 6 a.m. Authorities will prohibit vehicle movement on the NH-8 stretch in Narsingpur.
Those driving from Delhi to Jaipur will turn left from Hero Honda Chowk, turn right from Subhash Chowk traffic signal. They will have to go right from Vatika Chowk signal and go straight ahead to use NH8 from SPR-Dwarka Road. Those going from Jaipur to Delhi will cross Kherki Daula toll plaza and take Dwarka Expressway from NH-8. Additionally, commuters must take a U-turn from Elan Chowk, then travel via SPR, turn left at the Vatika Chowk signal, and continue through Rajiv Chowk.
About Foot Over Bridge
The GMDA is gearing up to install a 110-foot-long steel foot overbridge (FOB) to make commuting safer and more convenient. The team has already positioned the steel structure, and they expect to complete the installation in about eight hours on both sides of the carriageway. Built at a cost of ₹1.6 crore, this new FOB will provide a much-needed crossing point for residents over the busy Delhi-Jaipur Expressway. It will be located just 300 meters away from the existing FOB, ensuring smoother pedestrian movement in the area.
Narsingpur
The new foot overbridge (FOB) will be a lifeline for locals, allowing them to safely cross the road and move between different parts of the village while also helping to reduce accidents. With densely populated residential areas and numerous industrial units nearby, the area sees heavy pedestrian movement. In the absence of a proper crossing, some residents have even broken the grilles of the central verge to make their way across the busy highway, putting their lives at risk. Narsingpur has long been a black spot on NH-8 due to frequent accidents, making this FOB a crucial safety measure for the community.
