Delhi: A shocking event unfolded in northwest Delhi on Thursday, where two young children died after allegedly drowning in the Bawana Canal. Police informed that both the boys were brothers. Boy Dies After Drowning In Open Drain
The Bawana Canal, an important source of water for Delhiites, is a sub-branch of the Munak Canal. In yet another similar incident that took place in Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area, a three-year-old boy allegedly drowned in an open drain while he was playing outside his residence. The boy named Vishwajit Kumar, was with his 8-year-old sister during the time of the incident.
Doctors Declare Him Dead
Upon receiving information at around 1.40 pm, a police team immediately reached the spot, located in Gali No. 22. The officials rescued and rushed him to JPC hospital, reports added. However, he was declared dead at the hospital. A probe was launched, and a case has been registered at the police station.
