Delhi Weather Update: Delhi experienced one of its hottest days on Thursday in the month of April. The maximum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius on April 3. This is also one of the highest temperatures recorded since March. A maximum temperature of 38°C was recorded on March 26, which was the highest in that month. The temperature has risen significantly in Delhi, nearing 40 degrees Celsius. With the rising temperatures, the humidity level has also increased. The maximum humidity recorded in the past 24 hours was 74 per cent. Delhi residents are expected to witness hotter days in the coming week, as the maximum temperature is likely to soar over 40°C in next week.
Delhi Weather Update: Weather Forecast For April 4
Talking about the weather update for Friday, April 4, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity level is likely to be 41 percent. Partly cloudy sky conditions are expected today. According to the IMD, there has been appreciable rise in maximum temperatures over Delhi-NCR during the past 24 hours. Surface winds with speed occasionally gusting to 30 km/h will prevail during the day. No heatwave alert has been issue so far issued for the national capital.
Forecast For Upcoming Week
The week will end with maximum temperature in the range of 38-39 degrees Celsius. On April 5 and 6, the maximum temperature is expected to remain 39°C. Strong surface winds is expected during both the days. The sky will remain mainly clear on Saturday and Sunday. While the weekend is expected to be hotter, the coming week (April 7-13) will see further rise in the temperature. The maximum temperature is expected to soar to 40 degrees Celsius.
