Mercury To Soar After Weekend Respite, IMD Warns Of Hotter Days Ahead; Check Forecast News24 –


Delhi Weather Update: Delhi’s weather has witnessed sudden changes due to an active Western Disturbance along with lower circulation features. The weather has remained pleasant over the past 2-3 days, with partly cloudy sky, lower maximum temperature, strong winds, light rain and no heat wave conditions. There has been a significant drop in the maximum temperature, with 35.2°C recorded on Saturday, April 12. The current weather conditions have brought relief to Delhi residents. While, there has been fall in maximum temperature, humidity levels have risen. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature is currently in the range of 34 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Delhi Weather Update: Forecast For April 13, Sunday

The weather is expected to remain pleasant on Sunday, April 13, offering a soothing weekend for Delhiites. Light rain or drizzle has been predicted over the national capital. The maximum temperature is expected to remain 35 degrees Celsius with relative humidity level of 78 percent. The heat will not be intense, as partly cloudy sky with no heat wave condition has been forecasted by the IMD.

Forecast For Upcoming Week (April 14-20)

While this week will end with pleasant weather condition, the upcoming week will see hot days. Heatwave conditions will return in the national capital. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for heatwave on three days during the upcoming week (April 14-20). Moreover, the sky will turn clear from Monday, April 14 and remain same until April 18.  There will be rise in maximum temperature also, which is expected to soar to 40 degrees Celsius again. Strong surface winds with speed of 20-30 km/h has been also predicted for the week.

Dress Appropriately: Wear light clothing, cover your head.

Use Protection: Carry an umbrella or wear sunglasses.

Limit Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during day.
